LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson was taken to hospital after suffering a heart attack Thursday afternoon, TMZ.com reports.
The popular celebrity website reported Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, said the King of Pop “is not doing well,” and that family members are headed to UCLA Medical Center.
Paramedics were reportedly performing CPR on the legendary singer inside the ambulance.
According to the website, a 911 call from Jackson’s Los Angeles home came in at about 12:20 p.m. Thursday.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Capt. Steve Ruda told the L.A. Times that Jackson was not breathing when they arrived at his home.
Jackson was planning a comeback tour with a series of 50 sold-out shows at London’s O2 Arena, with the first show scheduled to take place on July 13.
