adidas Urban Art Guide For iPhone

The mobile art guide for the iPhone will be released on March 20th. The guide was made for Berlin and instead of visiting the usual museums that everybody knows, the adidas Urban Art Guide will show selected pieces of street art as well and guide you through the city. From better known galleries and museums to special artworks that are hidden in corridors, the guide covers it all.

From March 20th the adidas Urban Art Guide can be downloaded for free from the iTunes Store.

Adidas Consortium Watermelon Forum Mid & Pumpkin Forum Lo

New adidas Consortium releases will be coming out this week. Among the more interesting are the Watermelon Forum Mid and the Pumpkin Forum Lo. The watermelon and the pumpkin are directly translated onto the sneaker, making them both colorful releases for warmer times ahead.

New Y-3’s

Yohji Yamamoto headed Y-3 continues their focus on sportswear driven hi-end designs within the release of their Spring/Summer line of footwear. Highlighted by the use of mainly monotone hues, each silhouette embodies the brands vision with a blend of premium textiles alongside sleek, athletic infused models. For this current season, we see a medley of low cuts and hi-tops representing a Y-3’s low key aesthetic while still giving the consumer a taste of originality.

adidas Skate x BJ Betts

Tattoo artist BJ Betts recently work on two adidas orginals models and two tee tee shirt design for a collaboration that will start to drop this coming January 2009. BJ Betts who’s made a name for himself with his unique tattoo style and a tasteful eye for typography, his work mashes his style into the two models and the two tees.  The two modelsare the Bucktown ST which which is a basketbal shoe from the adidas archives and the Ciero is a slim silhouette in a mid top is the perfect mix of style and comfort. Look for the collection come January 2009.

Adidas ZX 90 Run

A previously overlooked contemporary reworking of classic ZX Torsion DNA, the adidas ZX 90s Run’s sole inclusion in the aZX collaboration rollout courtesy of New York’s DQM team has offered a necessary spotlight on this streamlined 1990’s themed take on running favourites.The sneaker comes with a good choice of materials on the upper, with the mesh taking up the more important parts. The color combos are not bad either.

Adidas originals -BW army Mid (GSG 9 Trainers)

Determined not to repeat the tragedy during the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich, where a botched rescue attempt resulted in the death of all hostages, Israeli Olympic athletes kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists.  West German officials established the GSG9 (Grenzschutzgruppe 9), an elite counter-terrorism unit of the German Federal Police.

As supplemental equipment to their arduous training regiment, adidas created the BW Army Mid, sneakers that integrated elements of the combat boots, such as padded interior linings, the absence of perforation or vents, and the lack of branding. Yet still retained sneakers comfortability with flexible rubber outsole and premium leather.

All day I dream about Sneakers

The Adidas x Lifelounge collaboration uses the Adidas slogans, “Impossible is Nothing”, and “Celebrate Originality”, with the All Day I Dream About Sneakers collection, which celebrates the life of Herr Fritz Träumer.

 

Herr Fritz Träumer was a designer who dedicated his life to creating sneakers. Always thinking outside the box, Träumer wrote a series of notebooks that featured his daydreams of completely unimaginable sneaker creations that were well beyond their normal everyday functions.

Adidas and Lifelounge have teamed up to create a limited edition book, only available in Australia and New Zealand, which features excerpts and images of his works.

Having previewed an adidas Orignals for Originals upcoming release in the past, the designer is poised for another release for the ladies. The metallic gold upper is accessorized by a pair of soaring wings. Rumors state that a white colorway is also in the works. Stay tuned for more details on a release date.

adidas Originals aZX – Group Q – W

adidas Originals’ massive aZX project looks to release its third pack of products later this month. For those unfamiliar with the project, adidas Originals hit up 22 different entities from around the world such as brands and popular institutions in the sneaker world.

Each was given the opportunity to create their own colorway from the ZX series. The latest Group Q – W includes Dave’s Quality Meats (Q – ZX 90), Alife Rivington Club (R – ZX 7000), SNS (S – ZX 450), Crooked Tongues (T – ZX 9000), Undefeated (U – ZX 8000), VA (V – ZX 9000) and Wood Wood (W – ZX 9000).

Adidas ZX 9000 De Lux

A nice and solid Adidas ZX 9000 has arrived at Styles. The sneaker comes in a silver/beige colorway and especially the beige suede is giving it that extra bit of “lux”. Even though the sneaker feature a lot of silver on the upper, it keeps an overall clean and not too noisy look.

adidas Originals 2009 Spring Collection Preview

Look for adidas to shift some of the focus from the ZX series in 2008 to efforts on the Torsion series next year. While preliminary looks only included the Torsion Racer, a comprehensive look unveils many Torsion offerings from running styles to basketball styles. All in all, the models represented here alongside the Torsion series Bank Shot, and Racer OG also include the ZX 7000, ZX 8000, ZX 9000.

     

Adidas aZX Series Group 2 I-P Preview: Patta, Neighborhood, Major & More

The group one of the Adidas aZX collection, consisting of collaborations with stand-out boutiques and brands from around the globe, just released this past Friday.In this release you will find collaborations with Kendo, Neighborhood, Just Be, Livestock, Major and Patta. As you can see, lots of high profile collaborations are also part of this release. The most hyped item will most likely be the Neighborhood ZX 700 boat shoe, judging from the hysteria previous Adidas x Neighborhood releases created.

One of my favorite label comes thru with another season, another impressive collection from the always popular collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas. The fall pieces include simple and functional items that follow the trademark minimalistic look the line is known for. We like the leather hoodie (top middle) and the lancer sneakers (bottom right)
