Lily Allen is the new face of Chanel. She was shot by none other than Karl Lagerfeld for their new campaign and brings a more playful factor to the classic French couture brand. For now only a couple of images of the Lily Allen for Chanel campaign have surfaced, but look out for more.
Karl Lagerfeld was spotted this past week at the Chanel boutique on Rue Royale in Paris, shooting the press kit for Chanel’s pre-spring collection entitled Starting Point.
The Chanel Couture show after an all white season, in the autumn 2009.10 heads back to the Grand Palais, homaging the most recognized brand coming out of the fashion house, Chanel N° 5, where giant bottle of the fragrances captured the stage.

Shot by Swedish photographer Therese Aldgard and styled by Lisa Edsalv, the two created a fantastic line-up of cupcake sets. They were inspired by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Betsey Johnson.

It’s a simple black guitar, but it discreetly spells Chanel on the end. It comes with a wide guitar strap in brown, black and white stripe, with the Chanel logo on the leather detail. Also shown was a white, quilted leather guitar case, to hold the Chanel guitar I’m assuming.
Massimo Gammacurta came up with the perfect accessory to attending the shows – fashion brand lollipops. He created them with the Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel and YSL logos in a series of different flavors………SWEET.
Chanel is one of those luxury brands, that always stuck to their classic aesthetics over the years, while also showing some great innovation. Karl Lagerfeld still impresses us with his creativity and drive to surprise the crowds. During the last Chanel fashion show they presented the new Perspex Briefcase. The execution of this suitcase is brilliant in terms of look and concept.

Chanel enthusiasts in London, Moscow, and Paris are out of luck: Thanks to the economic crisis, the luxury brand is cancelling its extravagant Mobile Art tour, which opened in Hong Kong last February and has since visited Tokyo and New York. Thewell-chronicled art-meets-commerce project celebrated the 50th anniversary of Chanel’s iconic 2.55 quilted handbag by commissioning works by 20 contemporary artists, housed in a sleek futuristic pavilion designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. Given the current climate, we’re not holding our breath for any grand-scale tributes to the boucle jacket.

For the 125th anniversary of Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld designed a special 5 Euro coin. The coin features both a portrait of Coco Chanel and lots of other trademark graphics of the brand.The coin comes in a gold version, limited to 99 pieces, with each piece going for 5900 Euros. The silver coin goes for 45 Euro and comes in a run of 11900. The coins will be released on December .
