Replacing the outgoing Ferrari F430, the 458 Italia represents Ferrari’s latest engineering conquest.The relatively lightweight aluminum chassis results in a 3,042 lbs dry weight with performance numbers suggesting 0-62 mph sprints of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.The 458 Italia is the first Ferrari V8 to break the 200 mph mark. The car will be officially unveiled in September of this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Audi Design Studio followed Porsche’s footsteps in designing a truly unique piano. And, it’s the legendary Austrian piano maker, Bosendorfer that is yet again responsible for bringing another auto manufacturer into trying their hands in designing a musical instrument.
One of the most striking features of the Audi Design Wing is the lid, which extends without a break down to the base. When viewed from above, the lid is seen to be recessed into the main case, and in the side view, the curve of the treble side is not interrupted by a joint line. Besides, the keyboard has no wings at the ends, the cast frame is in gray instead of the usual bronze color, and the felt damper strips in natural white instead of wine red.
Electric cars aren’t exactly the most popular form of transportation out there. Thus the number of public charging stations are few and far between. One unlikely company is jumping on the bandwagon and installing charging stations at 6 of their locations.

The BMW Museum opened July 21, 2008 in Munich. It sets new standards for brand-focused and automobile museums. The displays take the visitor through the manufacture of the cars through to highlights of past company models.
In conjunction with factory tours and the BMW welt, the museum is the final piece of the full BMW experience. Designed by Atelier Bruecknen, the museum sits within the existing architectural fabric of the BMW headquarters. (via Daily Icon).
In time for Geneva, Stuttgart-based Gemballa decided it’s time to update their super-aggressive Mirage Carrera GT with this Carbon Edition. Although not yet a production version, the race-looking Mirage has been put on a serious diet through extensive use of carbon fiber parts and ceramic brakes.
More than just a tuning exercise, the car is now powered by a powerful 670 horsepower engine that reaches a maximum of 208 mph (335 km/h), goes 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and breaks 200km/h in less than 9.7 seconds. Definitely sold on the futuristic design and the two-tone Pearl White and Black paint, we’d love to get behind the wheel for a shot of pure adrenaline.

Maybach is revamping their Zeppilin fleet for a 2009 Geneva Motor Show debut. Only 100 units will be made selling for $524,000 for the 57 (ft) Zeppelin or $610,000 for the 62 (ft) Zeppelin. It’s specs include 6.0-Liter V12 twin-turbo, 640 HP and 20-inch black chrome wheels. Available September.

Celebrating 30 years of hand building the Austrian G-Wagen, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an anniversary vehicle with the very same design principles and a few extra goodies. Entitled the EDITION30, two versions have made production including a higher and lower end model. The EDITION30 will be a G-Class based on the W463-chassis G500 featuring unique leather, wood interior and Platinum Black paint job. The lower end EDITION30.PUR will feature a more rugged exterior based on the older W461 chassis with G280 CDI running gear, off-road tires, headlamp guards, flexible wheel arches and optional roof rack.
